Wearing Many Hats...

I am not exactly sure where the summer had gone, but it's almost over... The kids have been having fun and enjoying camp.   The days they enjoy the most are Fridays, which are theme days.  Their most favorite had been crazy hat day.

During the school year, my daughter had not one, but two crazy hat days...So I took the easy route and reused both of those.  Her girlfriend at camp needed a hat, so it worked out perfectly.  I just made a new hat for my son....

This is the hat I made for my daughters first crazy hat day.  I only found out the night before that she needed a hat... So with Pom-poms, pipe cleaners and googly eyes on hand... This was the best I could come up with....

*I had to add this one, because it just shows my daughters personality and totally makes me giggle when I see it!

Then later in the school year she needed a second crazy hat.  It was a quick trip to the dollar store on the way home one day that produced this hat.  I basically hot glued flowers all over and some grass... Then added some butterfly's and done....

So that left me with making one new hat for my son.    I used a plastic pith hat I had and sprayed glue and added moss I had left over from the Alice in Wonderland topiaries I made for my daughters birthday.

Next I added some of the grass I used for my daughters hat and then I used a bunch of plastic toys I picked up at the dollar store.

Here are all three kids ready for their crazy hat parade.
